MEET DR. McQUEEN

SCOTTY McQUEEN is an adjunct faculty member in the American Studies Department at the University of Warsaw. He holds a PhD in Digital Media Studies from Trinity College Dublin and a PhD in Performance Studies from University College Cork. He additionally holds an MFA in Physical Theatre from Tuscany’s Accademia dell’Arte and an MPA in Strategic Public Policy from the American University of Paris. His work has been featured on TV3 and the CW network, and profiled in Motley Magazine and Trinity College Dublin’s researchMATTERS.

Dr. McQueen is the author of “Alternate-Reality Lifestyles: Reconstructing Conspiracy Theories and Apocalypse Prepping in the Digital Era” and “Performing Psychic: The Performance of Mentalism and Psychic Arts on Stage, Screen, and in Everyday Life.” He is a former instructor at Seattle’s School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts (SANCA), a former demonstrator at the historic Pike Place Market Magic Shop, an ordained minister in the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and a black belt in Shotokan karate.
