DR. SCOTTY McQUEEN is a behavioral insights and personal development specialist. He is conducting research through creative practice for the Trinity College Dublin School of Creative Arts on deconstructing “conspiracy theories” and “apocalypse prepping.” His work has been featured on TV3, the CW network, and in Trinity’s researchMATTERS Magazine.
DR. McQUEEN holds a PhD in Performance Studies from University College Cork, an MPA in Strategic Public Policy from the American University of Paris, and an MFA in Physical Theatre from the Accademia dell’Arte. Publications include: “The End of Mind Reading” in The Journal of Performance Magic, “Luck, Love, and Psychic” in The Magiculum II, and “Performing Psychic: The Performance of Mentalism and Psychic Arts on Stage, Screen, and in Everyday Life.” He is a former instructor at Seattle’s School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts (SANCA), a former demonstrator at the Historic Pike Place Market magic shop, an ordained minister in the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and a black belt in Shotokan karate.
